Leonardo DiCaprio is an American actor and film producer. He was born on 11 November 1974 in Hollywood, California, USA.

He started out his career at a young age appearing in television advertisements and some established TV series, including Santa Barbara (1990) and Growing Pains (1991-92). His most prominent film roles came later, starting with a role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), then in The Basketball Diaries (1995), Romeo + Juliet (1996) and not forgetting the role that would bring international fame, Titanic (1997). He would go on to feature in many films over the years, but he finally was recognised for his talent in 2016 for his role in The Revenant (2015), when he won the coveted Academy Award for Best Actor.
