Valentino Rossi is an Italian profession motorcycle racer. He was born on 16 February 1979 in Urbino, Italy.

He is known as one of the most successful motorsportsman of all time, winning 9 Grand Prix Championships throughout his career. He began his professional career in 1996 when he competed in the 125cc World Championships, winning 12 races in the process.In 1998 he moved to the 250cc World Championships, winning 14 races. He currently competes in the MotoGP World Championships (2000-) with a further 89 wins under his belt.
