Tommy Smith is a British retired professional football player. He was born on 5 April 1945 in Liverpool, England.

He spent the majority of his career at Liverpool (1962-78), where he made 467 appearances, scored 36 goals and helped the team to earn numerous trophies, including the FA Cup (1965 / 1974), FA Charity Shield (4x) and UEFA Cup (1973 / 1976). He even made an appearance on the England national team (1971) and played/managed for American team, Los Angeles Aztecs (1978) and finally, played for Swansea City (1978-79), before hanging up his boots for good.
