Tom O’Connor is a British comedian and television presenter. He was born on 31 October 1939 in Bootle, Lancashire, England.
He became publicly known after appearing on The Comedians (1971), a comedy showcase series. He was best known for hosting many game shows, including Name That Tune (1976-83) and Crosswits (1987-98). He has been the main subject on the celebrity biographical series, This Is Your Life (1977), appeared on Countdown 100 times as a guest, won Celebrity Come Dine with Me (2010), took part in the celebrity edition of game show, Pointless (2011), written 10 books and made his acting debut as Father Tom in Doctors (2000-04).
