Thor: Ragnarok is an American superhero film, released on 3 November 2017 (USA), directed by Taika Waititi and is based on characters from the Marvel Thor comics created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby.

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) attempts to flee the alien planet Sakaar so that he can save his home of Asgard from his sister Hela (Cate Blanchett). Other characters in the film include; Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Heimdall (Idris Elba), Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), Odin (Anthony Hopkins), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and a brief appearance by Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

The film picked up 6 awards including; 2 IGN Awards for Best Comedy Movie, an Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor (Idris Elba), and a Teen Choice Award for Best Sci-Fi Actor (Chris Hemsworth).
