Spike Milligan was a British-Irish comedian, poet and actor. He was born on 16 April 1918 in British India and passed away on 27 February 2002 in Rye, East Sussex, England, aged 83.
He made his breakthrough into fame when he joined the BBC and along with other greats, came up with the iconic radio comedy, The Goon Show (1951-60). He made his acting debut as Spike Donnelly in Penny Points to Paradise (1951) and had gone on to appear and star in many stage, film and television projects throughout his career. He was best known for The Goon Show and writing and starring in the comedy sketch show Q… (1969-1982). He had also published a variety of books, fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and also was known for his poetry work. Some of his other acting work includes:-
