Shirley Henderson is a Scottish actress. She was born on 24 November 1965 in Forres, Moray, Scotland.

She made her television debut as Elizabeth Finlay in Shadow of the Stone (1987) and has gone on to appear in many television and film projects throughout her career. She is best known for her roles as Isobel Sutherland in Hamish Macbeth (1995-97), Gail in both Trainspotting films (1996/2017), Jude in the Bridget Jones’s Diary trilogy (2001/2004/2016) and ‘Moaning’ Myrtle in both Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). She has also worked on the stage in many theatre productions, including; Girl From the North Country, Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest. Some of her other acting work includes:-
