Sharron Davies is a British retired professional swimmer. She was born on 1 November 1962 in Plymouth, England.
When she was just thirteen years old she was chosen to compete at the 1976 Summer Olympics which got her noticed by the general media and public. In the 1977 European Championships she won two bronze medals and the year after, at the Commonwealth Games, she took home her first two gold medals in the 200m and 400m medleys along with a silver and bronze in other events. She also competed in the 1980 Olympic Games, where she took home a silver medal in the 400m singles medley. Once she retired from competitive action in 1994, she moved onto television work, mainly presenting and commentating for the BBC. She also took part in the TV show, Gladiators (1995) as Amazon, presented The Big Breakfast (1996) for Channel 4 and took part in the Dancing on Ice series (2010).
