Sean Lock is a British comedian. He was born on 22 April 1963 in Chertsey, Surrey, England.

His initial work was in stand-up comedy, doing various shows across the UK, he won the British Comedy Award in 2000 for Best Live Comic. He has even written material for other comedians, Lee Evans, Bill Bailey and Mark Lamarr. He has also appeared on radio shows and in television, most notably as team captain in the comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats since its 2005 start.
