Rolf Harris is an Australian artist, television presenter and entertainer. He was born on 30 March 1930 in Bassendean, Western Australia.
He began his career as an artist and started working for the BBC in children’s programme, Jigsaw (1953). He had gone on to do many television projects over the years, including Rolf’s Cartoon Club (1989-93) and Animal Hospital (1994-2004). He released 30 albums, with the following singles becoming popular at the time; Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport (1960), Sun Arise (1962) and Two Little Boys (1969). However, his career ended in 2013 after the huge scandal surrounding his sexual assault charges and has been sentenced to five years and nine months in 2014.
