Roberto Durán is a Panamanian former professional boxer. He was born on 16 June 1951 in El Chorrillo, Panama.

He began his professional career at the young age of 16 (1968). He has won championships in four different weight classes; lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight, and competed over five decades, the second boxer to do this. He is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time and retired in 2002. His record ended with an impressive 119 fights, 103 wins and 70 knockouts.
