Robbie Keane is an Irish professional football player. He was born on 8 July 1980 in Dublin, Ireland.

He began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers (1997-99), making 73 appearances and scoring 24 goals overall. He spent the majority of his career with Tottenham Hotspur, first in 2002-08 and then again in 2009-11, where he had an eventful time especially during the 2007-08 season, setting a record of 23 goals in a season and won his first honour, the League Cup. He joined current team, LA Galaxy, in 2011, being part of wins for the MLS Cup (2011 / 2012 / 2014), the MLS Supporters' Shield (2011) and Western Conference (2011 / 2012 / 2014). Some other teams he has played for Coventry City, Leeds United and the Republic of Ireland national team.
