Pierce Brosnan is an Irish actor and film producer. He was born on 16 May 1953 in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland.

He made his television debut as Donnelly/Edward O'Grady in Murphy's Stroke (1980) and went on to appear and star in many television and film projects throughout his career. He is best known for his roles as the titular character in Remington Steele (1982-87), James Bond in the following films; GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002), Thomas Crown in The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) and Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia! (2008) and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018). He has also worked as a producer on 14 occasions, including, The Thomas Crown Affair and Evelyn (2002). Some of his other acting work includes:-
