Obafemi Martins is a Nigerian professional football player. He was born on 28 October 1984 in Lagos, Nigeria.

He began his career in football at Ebedei youth club (1999-2000) and is known for his time at Inter Milan (2001-06) making 88 appearances and scored 28 goals, Newcastle United (2006-09) making 88 appearances and scored 28 goals and American soccer team, Seattle Sounders FC (2013-15) making 72 appearances and scored 40 goals. He has signed with Chinese football club, Shanghai Shenhua (2016-) making 39 appearances and scored 39 goals. He has also played for the Nigeria national team (2004-15).
