Norman Hunter is a British retired football player and manager. He was born on 29 October 1943 in Gateshead, County Durham, England.

He spent the majority of his career with Leeds United (1962-76), making 540 appearances, scoring 18 goals and helping the team to win the League Cup and FA Cup. He also played for the England national team (1965-74), making 28 appearances, scoring 2 goals and was a part of the teams 1966 World Cup victory. He was also a manager for Barnsley (1980-84) and Rotherham United (1985-87).
