Mo Farah is a British distance runner, with African descent. He was born on 23 March 1983 in Mogadishu, Somalia.

He began his professional career in 2005 and has competed in many events, including, Commonwealth Games, European Athletics Championships and the Olympic Games, taking home multiple gold medals in the 5000m and 10,000m races. He is known as one of the most successful British athletes, taking 9 global titles, 5 gold medals during the European Athletics Championship events and is the first British athlete to win two gold medals at the same event.
