Marion Cotillard is a French actress and singer. She was born on 30 September 1975 in Paris, France.

She began her acting career in French cinema for around 9 years until 2003 when she moved onto the Hollywood scene. Her first major break came in 2007 in the French film, La Vie en Rose, which she won multiple awards for her portrayal of Édith Piaf including an Academy Award and makes her the first actress to win said award in the French language. Since then she has had major roles in films, including as Billie Frechette in Public Enemies (2009), Mal Cobb in Inception (2010), Adriana in Midnight in Paris (2011) and Miranda Tate in The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
