Little and Large were a British comedic double act. Syd Little was born, Cyril Mead, on 19 December 1942 in Blackpool, Lancashire, England and Eddie Large was born, Edward McGinnis, on 25 June 1941 in Glasgow, Scotland.
They began their career path in 1962 and performed in various clubs in the north-west of England. They would go on to appear in the British talent show, Opportunity Knocks where they performed as a comedy act. This would lead them to their own television series, The Little and Large Tellyshow (1977) and would move on to the BBC with their comedy variety program, The Little and Large Show (1978-91). They also appeared in theatre and pantomimes and were very popular during the 1980s, until they parted ways much later in their career.
