Lionel Messi is an Argentinian professional football player. He was born on 24 June 1987 in Rosario, Argentina.

He began his professional football career playing for reserve teams, Barcelona C (2003-04) and Barcelona B (2004-05), he joined the main Barcelona club in 2004, making 475 appearances and scoring 439 goals throughout his time there. He also plays for the Argentina international team (2005-), making 138 appearances and scoring 70 goals.
