Lara Pulver is a British actress. She was born on 1 September 1980 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England.

She initially began her acting career in various West End musicals, and made her transition to television in the television drama series, Robin Hood in 2009 as Isabella. She would then go on to have memorable roles as Claudine Crane in the American supernatural drama True Blood (2010), Erin Watts in the British mystery series Spooks (2011), Irene Adler in the British crime drama Sherlock (2012 / 2014) and as Clarice Orsini in the British fantasy drama Da Vinci's Demons (2013-15).
