Katy Manning is a British actress and director. She was born on 14 October 1946 in Guildford, Surrey, England.

She started her career in theatre, but her best known role was in the popular sci-fi television series, Doctor Who, playing the companion, Jo Grant, to Jon Pertwee's incarnation of the Doctor (1971-73), she also reprised this role, as Jo Jones, in the spin-off, The Sarah Jane Adventures (2010).
