Julie Walters is a British actress and writer. She was born on 22 February 1950 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England.

Her first breakthrough role, which earned her a BAFTA and a Golden Globe, was in Educating Rita (1983). She is revered by her peers for the many different roles she has taken on in her over 40 year career and not only has she been successful in the film industry, but also in television, especially her famed collaboration with the late Victoria Wood and has been in seven of the eight Harry Potter films between 2001-2011. She has featured in many big and small screen hits, including:-
