The Joker is a fictional character from the DC comics, created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. He is one of the main antagonists against Batman, and there are multiple versions of the character, both in comics and film.

Heath Ledger portrayed the character in the film, The Dark Knight (2008) and has been touted as one of the most memorable and impressive version of the character. He had the classic Joker look with a twist, dishevelled and grittier than previous versions. He used makeup to cover his face, rather than the chemical bleached look that was originally used to depict the Joker.
