John Wark is a Scottish retired football player. He was born on 4 August 1957 in Glasgow, Scotland.
He spent the majority of his professional career playing for Ipswich Town, on three separate occasions (1975-84) making 266 appearances, scoring 94 goals and helping the team to earn their first and only European Cup (1980-81), (1988-90) making 70 appearances and scoring 23 goals, and (1991-97) making 154 appearances and scoring 18 goals and during those times has seen success by earning the FA Cup and UEFA Cup. He played for the Scotland national team (1979-84), making 29 appearances and scoring 7 goals during his time there. He has also played for Liverpool (1984-88) and Middlesbrough (1990-91).
