John Terry is a British professional football player. He was born on 7 December 1980 in Barking, London, England.

He started his professional career with the London-based football team, Chelsea in 1998 and to this day remains part of the team, making 485 appearances, scoring 40 goals and seeing many successes with the club, including FA Cup, Premier League and Football League Cup wins. He earned captaincy status for the team in 2004 and led them to a Premier League title in his first year as captain. He also played for the England national team (2003-12), making 78 appearances, scoring 6 goals and became captain of the team on tow occasions (2006-10 / 2011-12).
