John Savage (born John Youngs; August 25, 1949) is an American actor, best known for his roles in the films The Deer Hunter, The Onion Field, Hair  and Salvador. He is also known for his role as Donald Lydecker in the short-lived TV series Dark Angel.

He played as Captain Rudy Ransom in the episodes, 'Equinox' Part 1 & 2 of Star Trek: Voyager.
