John Challis is a British actor. He was born on 16 August 1942 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.

His first most notable television role was as Sgt. Culshaw in Z Cars (1967-75), but his best, and most-loved, role is that of Aubrey “Boycie” Boyce in the popular British television series, Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003), and also in the spin-off series, The Green Green Grass (2005-09) alongside his screen wife, Sue Holderness.
