Jimmy Clitheroe was a British comic entertainer. He was born on 24 December 1921 in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England and passed away on 6 June 1973 in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, aged 51.

He began his career doing mainly theatre and variety shows before going onto pantomime, radio, films and television, most notably he had a minor role in an episode of The Avengers in 1968. But he is best known for his radio show, The Clitheroe Kid (1956-72), where he played the typical cheeky 11 year old schoolboy.
