Jessie Wallace is a British actress. She was born on 25 September 1971 in Enfield, Greater London, England.

She is best known for her role as Kat Slater in the soap opera Eastenders, winning numerous awards and also popularity with the viewers. She made her first television appearance in The Bill (1999) and then went on to the BBC soap in 2000-2005, when she first departed she had made various appearances on different shows, including Wild At Heart (2008) and The Road to Coronation Street (2010) where she played the role of the legendary Pat Phoenix. She returned to Eastenders in 2010 to finalise her character's story up to 2016.
