The Indiana Jones film series, is an American action/fantasy adventure, created by George Lucas and all films directed by Steven Spielberg. There are four films in the series; Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Temple of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989) and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).

The series follows the adventures of Dr. Henry Walton 'Indiana' Jones Jr. (Harrison Ford), a professor of archeology and treasure hunter. Other characters throughout the series have included; Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott), Sallah (John Rhys-Davies), Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), Henry Jones, Sr. (Sean Connery), George 'Mac' MacHale (Ray Winstone), Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), Henry 'Mutt' Jones III (Shia LaBeouf and Harold Oxley (John Hurt).

The film series has picked up a number of awards including 7 Academy Awards, mainly for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
