Ian Callaghan is a retired British footballer, known for his lengthy career in Liverpool FC (1960-78). He was born on 10 April 1942 in Toxteth, Liverpool, England.

He currently holds the record for the most appearances, playing for Liverpool, which is 640 and during that time has score 50 goals for the club.
