Hollyoaks is a British television soap opera, created by Phil Redmond and filmed at Lime Pictures in Childwall, Liverpool. It aired on Channel 4 from 23 October 1995 to the present day. The show has picked up many awards, mainly for individual accomplishments and certain episodes, but the soaps biggest accomplishment came in 2014 when they picked up the British Soap Award for Best British Soap, one that has eluded them since their inception.
