Gerry Francis is a British retired football player and former manager. He was born on 6 December 1951 in Chiswick, London, England.
He spent the majority of his career with Queens Park Rangers (1968-79), making 295 appearances and scoring 53 goals during his time there and would become a key player on the team. He played for the England national team (1974-76), making 12 appearances, scoring 3 goals and was captain of the squad for eight of their games. He has also played for, Crystal Palace (1979-81), Coventry City (1982-83) and Bristol Rovers (1985-87). After finishing his active career in the game, he became full-time manager, firstly for Bristol Rovers (1987-91) where he took them to the Second Division. He also managed QPR for two spells (1991-94 / 1998-2001) and Tottenham Hotspur (1994-97).
