George Michael was a British singer, songwriter and record producer. He was born, Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, on 25 June 1963 in East Finchley, London, England, and passed away on 25 December 2016, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England, aged 53.

He began his music career in 1981, when he formed WHAM! alongside fellow member Andrew Ridgeley, and then became a solo act in 1987. He released his debut single, Careless Whisper (1984), before the split, which reached number 1 in the UK charts. He released his debut album, Faith (1987), which topped the UK, US and Netherlands charts at number 1. He released a further 4 albums, all which topped the UK charts in the top 3.
