Geoff Hurst is a British retired football player. He was born on 8 December 1941 in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England.
He spent 13 years with West Ham United, making 411 appearances, scoring 180 goals and taking part in wins for the FA Cup and European Cup in 1964 and 1965 respectively. He also played for Stoke City (1972-75) and the England national team (1966-72), where he scored a hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup final against West Germany, and is still to this day, the only player to have achieved that feat.
