Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He was born on 17 December 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines.

He began his professional boxing career in 1995 at the age of 16, getting a win on his debut against Edmund Ignacio, impressing fans and professionals alike. He is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, winning ten world titles, being the first to win the lineal championship in five different classes and the first and only boxer to take the world titles in eight different weight classes, during his 20+ career. He did enjoy a brief retirement, but looks to be stepping back in the boxing ring against a suitable opponent. He has done a wide variety of other interests, including basketball, acting and even politics, running for a seat in 2007 and ultimately becoming the Senator of the Philippines in 2016.
