Dominic Monaghan is a British actor. He was born on 8 December in Berlin, West Germany.

He made his television debut as Geoffrey in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates (1996-98) and went on to appear and star in many television and film projects throughout his career. He is best known for his roles as Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck in The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-03), Charlie Pace in Lost (2004-10) and Chris Bradley/Bolt in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). He has also provided his voice as Merry for The Lord of the Rings video games (2003-06), as William Joyce in Quantum Break (2016) and appeared in the music video, Love the Way You Lie by Eminem and Rihanna (2010).
