Diego Costa is a Brazilian football player. He was born on 7 October 1988 in Lagarto, Brazil.

He started playing for the Barcelona EC youth team (2004-06) and then spent some time with Braga (2006). After moving on to various clubs, he would eventually settle with Atlético Madrid, for the second time (2010-14). He made 94 appearances, scored 43 goals and took part in winning the La Liga League title in 2014. He then joined London based club, Chelsea (2014-) where he has made 89 appearances, scored 52 goals and took part in winning the Premier League title in both the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons, and the League Cup in 2014-15. He also plays for the Spain national team (2014-).
