Deadpool is an American film directed by Tim Miller, released on 10 February 2016 and is based on the superhero character from the Marvel comics and created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld. Ryan Reynolds plays Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Ed Skrein (Francis/Ajax), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Gina Carano (Angel Dust) and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead). The film is very tongue-in-cheek and has many fourth wall breaking moments, which makes it standout from the other films in its genre. Ryan Reynolds has been highly praised, by fans and critics, for his depiction of the character and the film has become popular overall. The film has earned 28 awards, including a Saturn Award for Best Actor (Reynolds), Empire Award for Best Screenplay, 2 MTV Movie Awards; Best Comedic Performance (Reynolds) and Best Fight (Deadpool vs Ajax) and People's Choice Award for Favourite Action Movie.
