David Caruso is an American actor. He was born on 7 January 1956 in New York, USA.

He made his television acting debut as an extra in Ryan's Hope (1976) and has since appeared and starred in many television and film projects over the years. His first big breakthrough was as Detective John Kelly in the police drama series, NYPD Blue (1993-94) and is best known for his role as Horatio Caine in the crime drama, CSI: Miami (2002-12). Some of his other acting work includes:-
