David Carradine was an actor and martial artist. He was born on 8 December 1936 in Hollywood, California, USA and sadly passed away 3 June 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand aged 72.

He started his career off in 1964, in a western film called Taggart. From there on, he appeared in theatre and also made his break on television, his most prominent role was in the TV series Kung Fu (1972-75), where he played as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk, this got him nominations for both the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. His other notable television and film credits include:
