Carrie Fisher was an American actress and writer. She was born on 21 October 1956 in California, USA and passed away on 27 December 2016 in Los Angeles, California, USA, aged 60.

She made her feature film debut as Lorna in Shampoo (1975) and has made many appearances in film and television over the years. She was best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars film series, starting with Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), then Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) and would later reprise that role in the more recent films, The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017) and she has even provided the voice for Angela in the animated comedy television series, Family Guy (2005-17). She even enjoyed a career in writing, publishing novels and non-fiction books and also writing for plays and screenplays. Some of her other acting work includes:-
