Bobby Moncur is a former professional football player for the Scotland national team and Newcastle United. He was born on 19th January 1945 in Perth, Scotland.
He spent the majority of his career with the Scotland national team (1968-72) and with Newcastle United (1962-74) where he was captain of the squad. He also had a two year stint with Sunderland (1974-76) and a year with Carlisle United (1976-77). He took on the role of manager for Carlisle United for four years, and managed a few other teams along the way before he retired.
Amongst his achievements, he led Newcastle United to a victory in the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final, scoring a total of three goals, they won 6-2.
