Birdy is a British singer, songwriter and musician. She was born, Jasmine Lucilla Elizabeth Jennifer van den Bogaerde, on 15 May 1996 in Lymington, Hampshire, England.

She released her debut single, a cover of Bon Iver's Skinny Love (2011), which hit the UK charts at number 17, yet topped the charts in the Netherlands. She released her self-titled debut album (2011), making it to number 13 in the UK, and followed up with two albums; Fire Within (2013), reaching number 8 in the UK and Beautiful Lies (2015), reaching number 4 in the UK.
