Billy Dee Williams is an American actor, singer and writer. He was born on 6 April 1937 in New York City, USA.

He made his television debut as Dr. Jim Frazier #1 in the series, Guiding Light (1952) and has since made many appearances on both film and television over the years. He was perhaps best known for his role as Lando Calrissian in both Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983). His other prominent roles has been as Gale Sayers in Brian’s Song (1971), as Harvey Dent in Batman (1989) and as Godot in Today Will Be Yesterday Tomorrow (2003). He also did some work in music in the early 60s and recorded the album, Let’s Misbehave. He has also provided voices on a few video games, including various Star Wars games as the character he played in the film, as Director Redmond Boyle in Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (2007) and as Colonel Jackson in Let It Die (2016).
