Antonio Conte is an Italian professional football manager and also used to play on the field too. He was born on 31 July 1969 in Lecce, Italy.

He started playing professionally for his hometown team of Lecce (1985-91) making 71 appearances and scoring 1 goal, before moving onto Juventus (1991-2004), where he had a more successful time, making 296 appearances, scoring 29 goals and he was captain during the UEFA Champions League and won 5 Serie A titles. He also played for the Italian national team (1994-2000), and took part in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and 2000 UEFA European Championship.

Once he retired from active play, he started a 'behind the scenes' role when becoming assistant manager for the Italian based club, Siena. Since 2006, he has managed various international clubs, including Juventus (2011-14) and Italy (2014-16). He is now currently managing London based football club, Chelsea, and as of January 2017, is the first manager to win Manager of the Month awards consecutively (October, November and December).
