Anna Karen is a South African-born, British actress. She was born on 19 September 1936 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

She is best known for her roles as Olive Rudge in the British sitcom On the Buses (1969-73) and reprised the role in The Rag Trade (1977-78) and as Aunt Sal in various episodes of the British soap opera, Eastenders (during 1997-2016). She also had a couple minor roles in the Carry on series of films, Carry on Camping (1969) and Carry on Loving (1970).
