Allan Wells is a Scottish retired track and field sprinter. He was born on 3 May 1952 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, UK.

He started his professional career in the mid-to-late '70s and would go on to win the UK 100/200 Championships, which was a huge breakthrough for not only Wells, but for the UK itself, as they weren't as successful overseas. He has represented both Great Britain and Scotland in different events and won many gold medals in the European Cup and Commonwealth Games, plus one in the 1981 IAAF World Cup and one in the 1980 Olympic Games in the 100 metres.
