Al Capone was an American gangster and businessman. He was born on 17 January 1899 in New York City, USA and passed away on 25 January 1947 in Palm Island, Florida, USA, aged 48.

He was one of America's most notorious crime bosses during the 1920s in Chicago. He had the nickname, Scarface, due to an injury he sustained whilst working as a bouncer in Brooklyn. He headed the Chicago Outfit crime syndicate, alongside Johnny Torrio, and they were fighting for control of distributing illegal alcohol during the Prohibition era, amongst other high profile crimes, including, gambling, extortion and murder. He was a huge player in the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre incident in 1929 which would damage his reputation. He was later jailed for tax evasion in 1931 for 11 years.
