Adam Sandler is an American actor, comedian and film producer. He was born on 9 September 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.

He made his acting debut as Smitty in four episodes of The Cosby Show (1987-88) and has gone on to appear and star in many film and television projects throughout his career. He had a stint as a comedy performer in his earlier days, and landed a job on Saturday Night Live (1990-95). He is best known for his roles as Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer (1998), Sonny Koufax in Big Daddy (1999), Barry Egan in Punch-Drunk Love (2002), Henry Roth in 50 First Dates (2004) and Charlie Fineman in Reign Over Me (2007). In 1999 he started his own film company, Happy Madison Productions, with Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo being the first film made. He has also release five albums in the comedy genre, between 1993 and 2004, with two going 2x Platinum. Some of his other acting work includes:-
